Quick Plug works very closely with IHort (USA). Experience of products and cultivation is shared which can provide our customers with valuable information.
Both companies aim at bringing innovation concerning substrate to its customers. Our slogan: 'Good is not good enough' motivates us to continue our striving to achieve even better results.
In the light of this formula the development of the Xcel Plug® for cuttings and sowing took place. As we have our own mixing line, we can compile any substrate that fits within your cultivation. An EC or pH which differs is therefore no problem at all. By optimizing the substrate, we were able to achieve significant progress for several of our customers. After all our second slogan is 'Unlimited Rooting Plugs'!
At the Hortifair in November 2006, Quick Plug presented the V-Xcel Plug®. This plug is especially developed for airy substrate cultivation such as orchids. The V-Xcel Plug® made it possible for further automation of this type of cultivation and a faster growth than is traditionally achieved.
In 2008 the market requested a better plug-in-plug system by which the structure throughout the entire plug is the same. Quick Plug's response to the market was the Xcellent Plug®.
In the most recent developments we built a bridge between the 'paperpots' and the stabilised plugs like the Xcel Plug®. This product called the Xtract Plug®, is literally 'the best of both worlds'.
It is the Quick Plug set up that allows us to enter the market in a fast and flexible manner - an absolute necessity in the fast innovating world of horticulture.
The production facility of Quick Plug is located at the very heart of the world’s largest concentration of greenhouses (Poeldijk, the Westland - NL). We are able to dispatch our deliveries without delay from Poeldijk. The auction, our junction close to home and the Rotterdam harbor, for export to all corners of the globe, is close by. It’s amazing how big a small company can be, or a young company experienced...
